Coiled Tubing Drilling (Australia)
DIG CT is proud to be the first company to successfully apply CT drilling to mineral exploration globally and through very challenging ground when traditional drilling methods failed.
DIG CT undertook three drilling campaigns in remote areas of Western and South Australia to prove coiled tubing drilling’s ability to sustainably drill in remote and extreme (heat, wind and fryable ground) conditions.
To date, the three successful coiled tubing drilling campaigns are:
- 2024: Eucla, Western Australia (on behalf of Geological Survey WA)
- 2024: Paterson, Western Australia (on behalf of Geological Survey WA)
- ‘24 & ‘25: Northern Gawler Craton, South Australia (on behalf of Geological Survey SA)
National Drilling Initiative (NDI) Dashboard
Drill hole data from DIG CT’s third project (Gawler Craton just north of Coober Pedy, South Australia) is accessible by clicking the link and following the steps below.
To access the drillhole data, click here and follow the steps below.
- Click ‘lnteractive content’ (bottom left-hand side of screen within green text box).
- Click ‘NDI NG Downhole Surveys’ (bottom of screen; one of six grey tabs).
- Look to the top left-hand corner for ‘Drillhole list’ and the dropdown arrow beside it.
- Click dropdown arrow to reveal options (NDING_01 to NDING_07) which are the completed drillholes from DIG CT’s project in Northern Gawler Craton, South Australia.
- Data labelled ‘NDI NG’ relates to National Drilling Initiative, Northern Gawler.
- Navigate around this public-facing dashboard hosted on DEM cloud infrastructure.
- Anyone *should* be able to visit from any device on any browser and without a sign-in. (Please let us know if you experience any difficulty).
